Our Story

Norango.ai is built on a legacy of leadership and innovation.

Back in 1997, our founder launched one of the UK’s first virtual receptionist services using computer telephony integration (CTI) and ISDN trunk lines — automating call handling at a time when most businesses were still taking handwritten messages.

By 2002, that pioneering business had won a spot in the Deloitte Fast 50, delivering complex contact centre solutions to global clients including Qatar Airways at Manchester and Heathrow, and supporting over 150 agents.

When the 2008 crash hit, it exposed the limitations of traditional models. In response, we pivoted — building a distributed, cloud-based operation using VoIP and a remote team of tele-secretaries. Once again, we led. Others followed.

Today, that same spirit drives Norango.ai — the UK’s first truly hybrid AI contact centre, where conversational voice agents and real humans work together to deliver fast, intelligent, first-contact customer service at scale.
